Fiji Airways to Join American Airlines’ AAdvantage Travel Rewards Program

American Airlines has today announced that Fiji Airways will join their award-winning AAdvantage® travel rewards program in the coming year, offering members benefits, as well as earning and redemption opportunities when traveling on either airline.

On Thursday (June 27, 2024), American Airlines announced that Fiji Airways, the national airline of Fiji, will join their award-winning AAdvantage® travel rewards program in the coming year.  Guests of both airlines will receive a host of benefits, as well as earning and redemption capabilities when flying either airline.  Under the collaboration, AAdvantage® members will enjoy a seamless experience when traveling on Fiji Airways, and will receive benefits such as priority check-in and boarding, complimentary baggage allowance, preferred seats and enhanced award redemption.  Fiji Airways serves 26 destinations in over 15 countries and territories, and will become a full oneworld member in 2025.


In Thursday’s announcement, American airlines’ Vice President of Partnerships, Anmol Bhargava, said,


“We are taking our partnership with Fiji Airways one step further by offering our mutual customers the opportunity to unlock more destinations and travel experiences through the AAdvantage® program. We look forward to welcoming Fiji Airways customers into the AAdvantage® program so they can experience all the ways we deliver on our commitment that travel is better as an AAdvantage® member.”


Also commenting on the new loyalty partnership, Fiji Airways’ Managing Director and CEO, Andre Viljoen, added,
