On Sunday (October 10, 2021) Qatar Airways announced the launch of their ‘Think Pink’ experience as part of the airline’s continuous support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The experience is available onboard flights and in the lounges at Hamad International Airport, and includes custom limited-edition BRIC’S amenity kits and special, pink-themed menus. The BRIC’S amenity kits are currently available on all long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights through October. Made from vegan leather, the kits are offered in two different designs, a pink and white kit for female guests and a black kit for male guests, both with iconic breast cancer ribbon prints. The kits include products from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, an environmentally friendly olive oil company, and include lip balm, hydrating facial mist, and anti-aging moisturizer in limited-edition ‘pink’ branding.

In Sunday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,

“We are dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer. This month is a reminder of the challenges that members of our Qatar Airways family have had to face, and the importance of support we provide for those diagnosed and in recovery, as we fight together to overcome this disease. We value the health of our passengers and women world-wide, and are proud to demonstrate our commitment by raising awareness of the importance of self-assessment during our annual support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”

Qatar Airways’ First and Business Class guests on departure from Doha will be offered a refreshing pink mocktail, a special ‘Think Pink’ menu featuring a themed afternoon tea, and desserts featuring the iconic breast cancer ribbon made from fondant. Economy Class guests are treated to an exclusive, pink-themed cheesecake and will be offered the limited-edition amenity kit on select long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights. Additionally, travelers can indulge in a ‘Think Pink’ experience at both the Al Safwa First Lounge and Al Mourjan Business Lounge at Hamad International Airport. Lounge guests can enjoy a bespoke ‘Pink Berry’ mocktail, a ruby hot chocolate topped with pink marshmallows and a pink-themed afternoon tea assortment with delicious finger sandwiches, scones and pastries.
