AEGEAN Opens New Business Lounge at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia”

AEGEAN has opened a brand new Business lounge at Thessaloniki Airport Makedonia. The lounge design is inspired by simple, sculptural, traditional Greek architecture and is more than 500 square meters, twice the size of the previous lounge.

On Monday (September 27, 2021) AEGEAN announced the grand opening of their new Business lounge at Thessaloniki Airport Makedonia (SKG). The lounge’s design has been inspired by simple, sculptural, traditional Greek architecture and is part of the airline’s new corporate identity, along with their new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. At approximately twice the size of the previous lounge, the new space is over 500 square meters. The lounge is dominated by curved forms combines with high quality materials such as marble, mosaic, glass and wood, creating a contemporary space that focuses exclusively on comfort and hospitality.

Additionally, the gate located in the lounge ensures convenient direct boarding. AEGEAN’s new Thessaloniki lounge welcomes both AEGEAN and Star Alliance guests, where they can experience menus featuring unique locally curated products of Thessaloniki and Northern Greece. Guests will also be welcomed with local treats, products, wines and drinks from select producers in Northern Greece. With their Thessaloniki base and new upgraded Makedonia International Airport Business lounge, the airline continues to grow their customer-centric approach, while upgrading the travel experience and enriching the city’s tourist offer.
