AerCap has today announced the placement of three pre-owned Embraer E195-E1s on lease with South African regional carrier Airlink. The first aircraft was delivered in March and the remaining two will be delivered in July 2023.
On Wednesday (June 28, 2023), AerCap announced the placement of three used Embraer E195-E1s with South African regional carrier Airlink. The first aircraft was previously delivered in March, while the remaining two are scheduled for delivery in July 2023. Airlink is South Africa’s premier privately-owned regional airline, and serves 45 destinations throughout Southern and East Africa, as well as Madagascar and St. Helena Island. The carrier operates a fleet of over 60 Embraer aircraft.
In Wednesday’s announcement, AerCap’s Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Anderson, said,
“We are very pleased to welcome Airlink as a new customer to AerCap with the lease of three E195 aircraft. We wish all the team at Airlink every success and look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
Also commenting on the new leases, Airlink’s CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster, said,
