Aeroplan is marking their 40th birthday with a special ‘Aeroplan-niversary’ with the largest-ever points giveaway and 10 days of exclusive member offers. This includes 40 prizes of one million points and exclusive offers on flights, hotels and everyday purchases.
On Monday (July 8, 2024) Air Canada announced the celebration of the 40th anniversary of their Aeroplan loyalty program. To mark the special ‘Aeroplan-niversary’, Aeroplan is offering 40 prizes of one million points and 10 days of exclusive offers to save and earn big on flights, hotels and everyday purchases. From now until July 17, 2024, members will have the chance to win one of 40 prizes of one million Aeroplan points each, with Aeroplan Elite™ Status Members receiving an extra entry.
Aeroplan has also rolled out a 10-day extravaganza of exclusive offers, including 40 percent bonus points on eligible flights and vacation packages, 40 extra bonus points for eligible Uber transactions, 40 points for every 30L of gas in a single fill-up at Parkland’s participating Ultramar, Chevron, Pioneer and Fas Gas stations, as well as 40 points for every eligible $10 spent in a single transaction at On the Run or Marché Express locations.
In Monday’s announcement, Air Canada’s Vice President – Loyalty and Product, Scott O’Leary, said,

Additionally, members can earn 10X points on eligible Aeroplan eStore purchases from top retailers, including Dyson, Gap, Lululemon, Sephora and Wayfair. As an added bonus, Aeroplan members can receive 20 percent back in points when redeeming 20,000 points or more in hotel stays, car rentals, gift cards and merchandise. During the 40th anniversary celebration, customers who apply for and are approved for their first Aeroplan co-branded credit card will also receive 40 percent more points on every eligible purchase for the first 40 days (T&Cs apply).
Aeroplan members can also save up to 30 percent on hotel rewards at over 7,500 HotelSavers partner properties, while Aeroplan credit cardholders get a fourth night free hotel benefit until December 31, 2024. Finally, Aeroplan members can enjoy an upgrade to Premium Economy or Air Canada Signature Class and cover taxes and non-airline fees or changes with points, with no cap on ticket value.
