On Wednesday (June 5, 2024), Air Canada announced that Economy Class guests traveling on domestic or transborder U.S. flights will now enjoy an elevated onboard experience with complimentary snacks, beer and wine through the end of 2024.  The new offer follows the carrier’s recent industry-leading food and beverage upgrade.  The complimentary snack selection will feature homegrown Canadian favorites, and spirits will also be available for purchase for $5.00.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Air Canada’s Vice President – Loyalty & Product, Scott O’Leary, said,

“We’re thrilled to continue elevating the Economy travel experience in North America, and we're proud to spotlight Canadian brands with this thoughtfully curated lineup of complimentary snacks and beverages, in time for your summer travels.  This builds on our recent industry-leading food and beverage upgrade to make travel better for all customers, including 100+ new rotating seasonal recipes.”

Air Canada now offers complimentary premium snacks to Economy Class guests on all flights worldwide, including sweet and savory bites such as buttery herb and garlic pretzels from Alberta’s family-owned TWIGZ, and Quebec-based Leclerc’s Célébration Cookie, made with real milk chocolate and butter.  As previously mentioned, through the end of 2024, Economy Class customers traveling on domestic and U.S. transborder flights can now enjoy complimentary beer and wine onboard.  This is in addition to the existing complimentary offering in all International Economy and Premium cabins.  For customers traveling to/from the Caribbean and Mexico, beer, wine and spirits will still remain available for purchase from the Air Canada Bistro menu.

Featured craft beers include Hop Valley and Creemore Springs Premium Lager, along with crisp and refreshing Molson Canadian and Coors Light.  Two French wines from Paul Mas will also be on offer, including a robust red or a fresh, dry white.  Cocktails will also be available for purchase for $5.00, including popular spirits such as Baileys Original Irish Cream, Canadian Club rye, Bacardi Superior rum, Bombay Sapphire gin, Smirnoff vodka, Tromba Tequila Blanco and Campari.  To learn more about Air Canada’s industry-leading onboard food and beverage offering, please click here.
