On Tuesday (December 21, 2021), Air Dolomiti, the Italian airline of the Lufthansa Group, announced the launch of new twice-weekly service between Munich and Brindisi starting April 9, 2022. The route will operate on Saturdays and Sundays with a 122 seat Embraer E195. Flight EN 8260 departs Munich at 11:00 and arrives in Brindisi at 12:45, while the return flight, EN 8261 will depart Brindisi at 13:25, arriving in Munich at 15:15.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Air Dolomiti’s Chief Commercial Officer, Paolo Sgaramella, said,

“We are pleased to start connections with Brindisi Airport. In these months we have always kept in touch to understand when to propose the operations. The pandemic has slowed down and postponed our projects, but we are confident that the next summer season can give new signs of recovery both for us and for the airports. The collaboration with Aeroporti di Puglia is part of a plan to expand the number of flights that our company is trying to pursue in spite of the moment of uncertainty. In addition to the enormous potential that the Puglia region offers in every season, there are certainly also interests and opportunities of a commercial nature that could be adequately stimulated and developed with this new connection. We want, as always, [to] offer our passengers a flight plan that supports both tourism and economic and professional activities.”

Air Dolomiti was founded in 1991 with the goal of connecting the main Italian airports to Germany, especially Munich and Frankfurt. In 2019, the airline carried over 2.5 million passengers, operating multi-day frequencies to Italian and European destinations. Air Dolomiti operates a fleet of 15 Embraer E195s and prides itself on being an efficient and reliable airline that puts customers first. The airline’s Fare plan provides five different options including three economy and two business fares, which allows guests to select the set of services that best suits their needs.
