On Wednesday (August 11, 2021), Air France announced the official grand reopening of their new fully redesigned lounge at Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. In partnership with the Plaza Premium Group, Business Class and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers will now enjoy a vast, elegant and welcoming space, promoting French-style hospitality. The 491 square meter space is in the international portion of the terminal and can accommodate 149 guests. The space features a large bay window offering views of the runway, Air France’s aircraft and one of the slopes of Mount Royal, overlooking the city of Montreal.

Air France collaborated with Canadian companies in creating the lounge’s bespoke furniture and lighting. The lounge is dominated by the colors of Air France with shades of blues, greys and whites, with splashes of red, accented by the airline’s famed winged seahorse symbol. Guests will be welcomed at the entrance by Plaza Premium Group agents and automatic eligibility kiosks are available for greater fluidity. In the main lounge area seats and large sofas are available so guests can relax, eat or work in comfort. The space features a shared work area, as well as free Wi-Fi and USB ports. Flying Blue Ultimate members will enjoy a more private space with large sofas and seats. The lounge also includes a space where travelers can shower of freshen up before departure.

The heart of the lounge features a vast area with catering centered around French cuisine. A self-service buffet offers sweet and savory hot and cold dishes, with something for every taste, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. A large bar also offers a wide range of French wines and champagnes. This fall, the lounge will introduce a new dedicated catering service in the cozy ‘Night Service’ area, to accommodate Business Class guests traveling from Montreal to Paris on the last evening flight. Eligible customers will be able to choose a real French-style gourmet meal with restaurant style service, including starters, hot dishes, cheese and desserts, accompanied by a wine and champagne list.

The Air France Lounge in Montreal is open daily from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. for both Air France and KLM customers. Business Class and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers will enjoy free access, while Economy and Premium Economy customers can purchase access, subject to availability.
