Air Lease Corporation has reported a third quarter net profit of $122 million or $1.10 per diluted share on a year-over-year increase in revenue of 17 percent to $659.4 million.
On Monday (November 6, 2023), Air Lease Corporation (ALC) reported their third quarter financial results for the period ending September 30, 2023. The aircraft lessor reported a third quarter net profit of $122 million or $1.10 per diluted share on a 17 percent year-over-year increase in revenue to $659.4 million. At the close of the third quarter, ALC’s fleet net book value increased to $25.6 billion, compared to $24.5 billion as of December 31, 2022. ALC closed the period with an owned fleet of 448 aircraft, including 331 narrowbody and 117 widebody aircraft, and 79 managed aircraft.
In Monday’s announcement, Air Lease Corporation’s Executive Chairman Steven F. Udvar-Házy and company President & CEO, John L. Plueger, said,
“ALC’s healthy third quarter performance reflects continued strength in the underlying fundamentals of our business. Aircraft demand remains very strong, while supply chain and other OEM challenges will continue to constrain the supply of commercial aircraft. We are also pleased by the attractive valuations that we are seeing in the aircraft sales market and are optimistic about the prospects for our own sizable aircraft sales pipeline.”

During the third quarter, ALC took delivery of eight aircraft from their orderbook, representing an investment of approximately $450 million, and sold eight aircraft for approximately $350 million in proceeds. ALC has placed 100 percent of their contracted orderbook position on long-term leases for aircraft deliveries through 2025, as well as 67 percent of their entire orderbook. The company ended the third quarter with 31.2 billion in committed minimum future rental payments consisting of $16.1 billion in contracted minimum rental payments on existing fleet aircraft, and $15.1 billion related to aircraft on
order.
