On Wednesday (March 12, 2025), Airbus announced that aircraft lessor Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) has placed a firm order for 50 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. This is JSA’s first direct order with Airbus, making them a new customer. JSA is part of the Mitsubishi HC Capital Group, a Japan-based global leasing company which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
In Wednesday’s announcement, JSA’s Chief Executive Officer, Kevin McDonald, said,
“This is an exciting milestone in JSA’s history as a longtime global leader in the sale and leaseback financings of Airbus aircraft. JSA looks forward to our expanded relationship with Airbus. We are excited to add the A320neo to our long-term pipeline as we continue our mission to provide the world’s airlines with superior fleet and capital solutions.”
Also commenting on JSA’s firm A320neo Family order, Airbus Commercial Aircraft’s EVP – Sales, Benoit de Saint-Exupéry, added,
“Jackson Square Aviation has an impressive client base and we welcome its decision to become part of the Airbus family. After a thorough evaluation, JSA’s selection of the Airbus A320neo adds the leading single aisle aircraft family with outstanding performance and passenger comfort to its portfolio of aircraft for its airlines.”
The most popular single aisle aircraft ever, the Airbus A320 Family has won over 19,000 orders worldwide. The Family’s largest member, the A321neo, offers unparalleled range and performance, delivering a 50 percent smaller noise footprint and at least 20 percent fuel savings and CO2 emissions compared to previous generation single-aisle aircraft. Additionally, the A320 Family can currently operate with up to 50 percent SAF, increasing to up to 100 percent by 2030.
