With a focus on showcasing the culture of regional areas of Japan, AirJapan has introduced a range of 56 offerings including set menus, light meals, sweets and beverages, as well as a collection of 19 inflight products for sale onboard.
On Monday (January 15, 2024), AirJapan, ANA’s new medium-haul international carrier, announced the launch of a new range of onboard meals and products available for purchase on the day of flight. The new food options include 56 offerings including set menus, light meals, sweets and beverages, with a focus on the culture of the regional areas of Japan, as well as 19 products that can be uses onboard and every day, along with specialty items that reflect the richness of Japanese culture.
Based on the goal of immersing customers in Japanese culture onboard, the meals include curry rice and other set menus, light meals such as ochazuke (dashi broth over rice) and ramen, snacks, sweets and beverages. Additionally, AirJapan is working to reduce food loss by using packaged and freeze-dried foods produced with Japan’s high-tech food processing technology. With input from cabin crew, AirJapan also created products including blankets, earphones and other items that can be used during travel and in everyday life. The carrier selected original products that embody AirJapan's brand concept, with the focus on showcasing Japanese culture, regional specialties, and other carefully crafted items.
