Alaska Airlines Launches New Service From Los Angeles to La Paz and Monterrey in Mexico

For winter 2024/25 Alaska Airlines is launching new routes from Los Angeles to La Paz and Monterrey in Mexico.  Flights to La Paz will operate up to three times weekly from November 20th, while Monterrey flights will operate daily from February 13, 2025.

On Tuesday (July 2, 2024), Alaska Airlines announced the launch of new service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to La Paz (LAP) and Monterrey (MTY) in Mexico.  Service between Los Angeles and La Paz will operate up to three times weekly from November 20, 2024, while daily LAX-Monterrey flights will start on February 13, 2025.  With the new service, Alaska will become the only U.S. airline operating flights to La Paz.  Tickets for the new routes will be bookable from Thursday afternoon, July 3, 2024.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Alaska Airlines’ VP – Revenue Management and Network Planning, Kirsten Amrine, said,


We recently celebrated 35 years of service to Mexico and are proud to connect travelers with the rich culture and natural beauty of the country.  We look forward to continuing to serve as the carrier of choice from the West Coast, especially as we prepare to start service to these popular destinations in Mexico.”

 

Also commenting on the launch of the new Mexican routes, Pacific Airport Group’s CEO, Raúl Revuelta Musalem, added,

 

“Connecting La Paz with Los Angeles is an important step for internationalizing this airport which has grown passengers significantly over the past three years.  We thank Alaska Airlines for offering this flight to one of the most beautiful destinations in Mexico and look forward to welcoming travelers to La Paz and continuing to provide greater ease for foreign tourists to visit this city.”
