American’s guests flying in premium cabins from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) this summer can also enjoy dishes from Avil on the Park, a Chicago Greek restaurant, and 2023 Michelin honoree. From a Greek Beef Orzo Stew to a Kagiana Egg Scramble for breakfast, American worked closely with the restaurant to bring a new summer dining experience for customers traveling from Chicago to Athens, Barcelona, Dublin, London, Paris and Rome. American’s popular ‘Buy on Board’ program is also getting a summer refresh. This month, Main Cabin customers can select a Fruit and Cheese Plate, which includes cheese grapes and chocolate, or a Breakfast Bag, with a healthy and delicious combination of yogurt, granola and a fig bar. The new selections will be available for purchase on flights 1,300 miles or more departing between 9:46 and 21:00 and 05:00 and 09:45, respectively.

This summer, American’s customers will also enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity on more than any other airline, delivering exclusive and diverse content directly the guest’s personal device. By July, 100 percent of American’s Wi-Fi equipped regional and narrowbody aircraft will offer ‘T-Mobile In-Flight Connection on Us’, allowing eligible T-Mobile customers to enjoy complimentary connectivity and streaming during domestic flights. Thanks to increased bandwidth planned for their widebody fleet, customers traveling internationally will also be able to enjoy faster Wi-Fi speeds and more reliable service. With these enhancements, American becomes the only U.S. carrier offering 100 percent mainline aircraft with video streaming capability.

Additionally, movie buffs will enjoy new inflight options, such as the new AppleTV+ movie ‘Ghosted’ that guests can watch exclusively in flight, coming each month. As part of American’s partnership with AppleTV+, new subscribers can receive two free months to continue watching Apple Originals after landing.
