American Airlines has launched a new ‘Five Star Essentials’ service for families traveling with kids or customers who would like an extra set of hands when navigating the airport experience. The service will be available in Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth and Miami.
On Friday (May 21, 2021), American Airlines announced the launch of their new ‘Five Star Essentials’ service, designed to provide hassle-free airport navigation for families traveling with kids or individuals who would like an extra set of hands. The service is now bookable starting at $149 (including up to two adults and three kids or pets) for travel from May 24, 2021. The service will be available at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Miami International Airport (MIA).
In Friday’s announcement, American Airlines’ Managing Director – Premium Customer Experience and Onboard Products, Clarissa Sebastian, said,
“Five Star Essentials is another way to help ease the journey for busy families or anyone who simply needs an extra set of hands to navigate through the airport. We know the airport can sometimes be time-consuming or nerve-racking, especially if you haven’t traveled in a while or are traveling during the holiday.”
Guests who purchase Five Star Essentials will be greeted at Priority check-in and provided with assistance for checking in for flights, selecting seats and checking baggage. Next, they will be accompanied through the Priority security lane and assisted to ensure all luggage and belongings stay together and organized. Once cleared through security, the customers will be escorted through the airport and directly to their gate. Reservations for Five Star Essentials can be made 72 hours prior to departure and AAdvantage® members can use miles to book the service.
