American Airlines has today announced that they will offer their largest-ever schedule to Italy for summer 2025, with expanded service to Rome and additional routes to both Venice and Naples.
On Friday (November 1, 2024), American Airlines announced that for summer 2025 they will offer their largest-ever schedule to Italy. Starting May 2025, the carrier will increase flights to Rome Fiumicino (FCO), Naples (NAP) and Venice (VCE). Expanding the new Naples service introduced last year, American will be the only airline offering service nonstop service between Chicago (ORD) and NAP in 2025. For the first time, the carrier will also introduce direct service from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Venice (VCE) starting June 5, 2025. Complementing existing service from Philadelphia (PHL), American will offer convenient one-stop connections to Venice from more than 230 North American destinations.
In Friday’s announcement, American Airlines’ SVP – Network and Schedule Planning, Brian Znotins, said,
“As Italy continues to remain popular for summertime travel, American is making it easier than ever for customers to shop, dine or unwind in their favorite destinations. Whether reveling in the history of Rome or relaxing on a beach on the Mediterranean, American’s network will offer more ways for customers to plan their perfect itinerary.”
