The spacious lounge, which will open in the coming days, features two premium bars, a speakeasy and self-led spa services by Equinox. The bespoke menu has been designed by Uruguay-born Chef Ignacio Mattos, influenced by his Italian grandmother and New York roots.
On Tuesday (October 6, 2020), American Express unveiled their new John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Centurion® Lounge which will open in the coming days. The lounge is in JFK’s Terminal 4 and located just beyond the TSA checkpoints to the left of the escalators. American Express Platinum Card Members can visit the lounge from 6 am to 9 pm daily. The spacious club features two premium bars and a speakeasy called 1850, after the year American Express was established. The cocktail menu and wine selection in the speakeasy have been curated by Jim Meehan and Anthony Giglio.
Guests visiting the new lounge will enjoy access to digital newspapers and magazines as well as self-led spa services by Equinox. The lounge also features high-speed Wi-Fi and a specialty coffee bar, serving drip coffee and espresso from Irving Farm’s New York Coffee. Customers can also dine in decadence with a menu designed by Uruguay-born New York Chef Ignacio Mattos with generous, bright and bold cuisine inspired by his Italian grandmother and NY roots.
