ANA Adds Four New Leading Japanese Chefs to THE CONNOISSEURS Lineup

ANA has announced the addition of four new leading Japanese chefs to their ‘THE CONNOISSEURS’ lineup.  The new members will be welcomed in December, and will create First and Business Class menus on flights departing Japan to Europe and the U.S.

On Thursday (November 14, 2024), All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced the addition of four new leading Japanese chefs to their ‘THE CONNOISSEURS’ culinary program starting December 2024.  This marks the first time in four years that the carrier has welcomed new members to the program.  Launched in September 2013, THE CONNOISSEURS is a team of celebrated chefs and beverage experts from Japan and around the world, all committed to elevating the onboard dining experience.


The newest THE CONNOISSEURS members, who will serve from December 2024 through December 2025, include  Kenichiro Sekiya from Joël Robuchon Tokyo, Kentaro Mura from Ebitei Bekkan, Yuhei Kurita from Ginza L'écrin and Shiro Yamazaki from Yamazaki.


In Thursday’s announcement, ANA’s EVP – Customer Experience Management and Planning, Tomoji Ishii, said,


“ANA is excited to welcome four new world-renowned chefs to our CONNOISSEURS team that will enhance our customer experience.  Their culinary creativity will elevate the in-flight dining experience for our premium passengers traveling between Japan and Europe and the U.S.”

Additionally, ANA offers Pre-order Meal Service for First and Business Class, allowing passengers to make meal reservations at least 24 hours prior to departure.  This ensures guests can enjoy their choice of Japanese or Western meals, including selections from THE CONNOISSEURS’ menu.  Using the Pre-order service also allows passengers the opportunity to enjoy THE CONNOISSEURS menu on select routes from Japan to Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and India.
