From mid-June Austrian Airlines will rollout ‘Tasty Austrian’, a new inflight culinary experience on long-haul flights. Some highlights include the ‘Viennese coffee house service onboard’, as well as three or four course menus with a choice of two main dishes.
On Monday (June 12, 2023), Austrian Airlines announced the launch of ‘Tasty Austrian’, a new inflight culinary experience for guests traveling on long-haul flights. The new offer will be available from mid-June and features a ‘Viennese coffee house service on board’ as well as three or four course menus with a choice of two main dishes. Innovations in the inflight service will not only be available in Business Class, but also in Premium Economy and Economy Class.
In Monday’s announcement, Austrian Airlines’ CCO, Michael Trestl, said,
We want to offer our guests a flying piece of Austria - a culinary experience the Austrian way. Our goal is to put Austrian hospitality and cuisine in the foreground and to give our guests an individual experience offer. We are proud to return to our old strength with our new long-haul concept and to bring our passengers closer to Austrian cuisine at the highest level.”
New Business Class highlights include a bar snack and a welcome drink and the addition of soup to the menu. Guests can enjoy a choice between two international main courses and also enjoy an Austrian Signature Dish. As mentioned, with the new Viennese coffee house service, customers can enjoy a variety of coffees prepared right in front of them and served with dessert. A light meal or small breakfast will also be served on all long-haul routes. The new menu concept aligns with the airline’s new brand orientation, and the motto ‘Austria. You can feel it right away.’
