Avelo Airlines Launches New Service Between Lakeland, Florida and Nashville

Avelo Airlines has today announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Lakeland International Airport in Central Florida and Nashville, Tennessee. The route will now operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.
On Thursday (March 6, 2025), Avelo Airlines announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Lakeland International Airport (LAL) in Central Florida and Nashville International Airport (BNA) in Tennessee. The route will now operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, with introductory one-way fares from $45 (T&Cs apply). Since starting service in Lakeland in October 2024, Avelo has carried nearly 60,000 customers on over 500 flights. Currently, the carrier serves seven direct destinations from LAL, including Charlotte / Concord, N.C. (USA), Boston / Manchester, N.H. (MHT), New Haven, Conn. (HVN), Philadelphia / Delaware Valley (ILG), Rochester, N.Y. (ROC), San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) and Wilmington, N.C. (ILM).
In Thursday’s announcement, Avelo Airlines’ Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said,

Also commenting on the new Nashville service, Lakeland International Airport’s Director, Kris Hallstrand, added,
“I am very excited that Avelo Airlines has added this great destination for our community. We look forward to welcoming our friends and family form the Nashville area as they now have an opportunity to enjoy what Lakeland and Polk County has to offer ‘At the center of it all!’”
Avelo Airlines was founded with the simple purpose to ‘Inspire Travel’, while saving customers time and money with nonstop flights and everyday low fares. Since taking flight on April 28, 2021, the carrier has served over 6.3 million guests on more than 50,000 flights. Avelo operates a fleet of 20 single-class Boeing 737NG airplanes. The carrier currently serves 53 popular destinations across 23 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Mexico and the Dominican Republic from their seven bases at Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) in California, Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Southern Connecticut, Orlando International Airport (MCO), Wilmington Philadelphia Regional Airport (ILG) in Delaware, Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina, and Las Vegas (LAS), Lakeland International Airport (LAL) in Central Florida, and Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA). Avelo will open their eighth base at Wilmington International Airport (ILM) in North Carolina in April 2025.
