Avelo Airlines Launches New Service Between Lakeland, Florida and Nashville

Avelo Airlines has today  announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Lakeland International Airport in Central Florida and Nashville, Tennessee.  The route will now operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.

On Thursday (March 6, 2025), Avelo Airlines announced the launch of their inaugural flight between Lakeland International Airport (LAL) in Central Florida and Nashville International Airport (BNA) in Tennessee.  The route will now operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, with introductory one-way fares from $45 (T&Cs apply).  Since starting service in Lakeland in October 2024, Avelo has carried nearly 60,000 customers on over 500 flights.  Currently, the carrier serves seven direct destinations from LAL, including Charlotte / Concord, N.C. (USA), Boston / Manchester, N.H. (MHT), New Haven, Conn. (HVN), Philadelphia / Delaware Valley (ILG), Rochester, N.Y. (ROC), San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) and Wilmington, N.C. (ILM).


In Thursday’s announcement, Avelo Airlines’ Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said,

 

“Our Lakeland base offers Central Floridians easy access to air travel, especially for Customers who value the convenience of a small hometown airport.  Between the start of our new route to Nashville today and our six other nonstop destinations, Customers flying in and out of Lakeland can expect more time and freedom to explore Florida in any direction they choose.  Lakeland has all is the perfect complement to our operations, it has all the attributes necessary for us to offer the affordable, convenient and reliable travel experience our Customers appreciate about Avelo.”  

 

Also commenting on the new Nashville service, Lakeland International Airport’s Director, Kris Hallstrand, added,
