Avelo Airlines has today announced the launch of new service between Philadelphia / Wilmington Regional Airport in Delaware and Nashville, Tennessee via Lakeland, Florida. The carrier has also added three new routes form their new Lakeland, Florida base.
On Thursday (November 7, 2024), Avelo Airlines announced the launch of new service to Nashville, Tennessee (BNA) from Philadelphia/Wilmington Airport (ILG) in Delaware via Lakeland, Florida. The route will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays starting March 6, 2025, with one-way fares from $49 (T&Cs apply). Additionally, the carrier announced the start of three new routes from their new Lakeland (LAL) Florida base, with service to Atlanta, Georgia (ATL), Hartford, Connecticut (BDL) and Philadelphia/Wilmington Regional Airport (ILG) in Delaware.
In Thursday’s announcement, Avelo Airlines’ Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, said,

Between the announcement of our new route to Nashville and the start of these new routes today, Customers flying into Lakeland from any of our new destinations can expect more time and freedom to explore Florida in any direction they choose. It has all the attributes we look for to provide affordable travel between the places people want to fly.”
Also commenting on Avelo’s Lakeland expansion, Lakeland International Airport’s Director, Kris Hallstrand, added,
