From November 11, 2022, Avelo Airlines will launch their fourth destination from Wilmington, North Carolina with service to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Introductory one-way fares start from only $39.
On Wednesday (July 27, 2022), Avelo Airlines announced the addition of their fourth destination from Wilmington International Airport (ILM) in North Carolina with new service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) starting November 11, 2022. Other routes from Wilmington include New Haven, Connecticut (HVN), Orlando (MCO), and Washington, D.C./Baltimore (BWI). Introductory fares between Wilmington and Fort Lauderdale are available from only $39, including taxes and fees. To qualify for the promotional fares, tickets must be purchased by August 2, 2022. Other T&Cs apply.
In Wednesday’s announcment, Avelo Airlines’ Chairman and CEO, Andrew Levy, said,

With the addition of this exclusive nonstop flight to Fort Lauderdale, getting to the Sunshine State is now even easier and more affordable for Wilmington residents. Avelo’s refreshingly convenient, reliable and caring service ensures our Customers arrive ready for some fun in the sun.”
Also commenting on the new service, Wilmington International Airport’s Director, Jeff Bourk, said,
“It’s a great day! Not only do we have expanded service from Avelo Airlines but, with this addition, we now have new nonstop service to South Florida, which is our top unserved market. We can’t wait for these new Fort Lauderdale flights to start Nov 11th and encourage everyone to check out all of the great low fare options Avelo is offering to our community.”
As also reported this week, Avelo also added four new nonstop routes from Orlando International Airport (MCO) with service to Lexington (Kentucky) and Newport News / Williamsburg (Virginia), as well as Kalamazoo and Lansing (Michigan). With the new services, Avelo will now offer seven routes to and from Orlando, including New Haven (Connecticut), Wilmington (North Carolina), and Washington, D.C./Baltimore.
