Bamboo Airways celebrated the launch of inaugural service from Hanoi to Frankfurt on Friday with flight QH73, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, departing Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 09:30.
On Friday (February 25, 2022), Bamboo Airways announced the launch of inaugural service between Vietnam and Germany. Following a ceremony in Hanoi, flight QH73, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, departed Noi Bai International Airport for Frankfurt. The Hanoi-Frankfurt route will operate twice weekly, with increased frequencies possible depending on demand. Following the launch of Frankfurt service, Bamboo plans on expanding their network in Germany to include Berlin and Munich, with service from Hanoi and/or Ho Chi Minh City.
At Friday’s launch event, FLC Group’ Executive Vice Chairwoman and Bamboo Airways’ Vice Chairwoman, Huong Tran Kieu Dung, said,
“Bamboo Airways expects this route will create favorable conditions for travelers between two countries, contributing to strategic Vietnam – Germany relations in various fields such as diplomacy, commercial – investment, culture – tourism, etc.”
Also commenting on the new service, a Frankfurt Airport Representative added,
“We are excited to welcome Bamboo Airways at Frankfurt Airport and are honored to be the first destination and gateway in Europe for scheduled flights between Hanoi and Germany. Bamboo Airways offers an excellent additional premium travel option for business and leisure travelers from Germany’s most important aviation hub to Vietnam and Southeast Asia.”
In Northeast Asia, Bamboo Airways is currently operating service from Hanoi to Tokyo-Narita, Taipei and Seoul Incheon. The carrier will also add flights between Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City and Singapore in March and to many other destinations in Southeast Asia for summer 2022. Bamboo also offers service between HCM City and Melbourne and will launch Hanoi-London flights in March. For 2022, the carrier will offer an extensive network of 40 international routes.
