BOC Aviation has today announced the placement of six Airbus A321neos on lease with Turkish Airlines. The aircraft will be delivered from the lessor’s orderbook with Airbus in 2027.
On Thursday (November 14, 2024), BOC Aviation Limited announced the placement of Six Airbus A321neo aircraft on lease to existing customer, Turkish Airlines. All six of the aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2027 from BOC’s orderbook with Airbus.
Established in 1933 with a five aircraft fleet, Turkish Airlines, a Star Alliance Member, currently operates a fleet of 477 passenger and cargo aircraft. The carrier serves 349 destinations worldwide in 130 countries, including 296 international and 53 domestic destinations.
In Thursday’s announcement, BOC Aviation’s CEO and Managing Director, Steven Townend, said,
“Turkish Airlines is one of our longest standing customers and this transaction is testimony to the breadth of that relationship. There is strong demand for these latest technology aircraft from our orderbook and that will underpin our growth in the next few years.”
Also commenting on the new lease agreement, Turkish Airlines’ Chief Investment & Strategy Officer, Levent Konukcu, added,
“We are pleased to enhance our long-standing relationship with BOC Aviation with the addition of these six new Airbus A321NEO aircraft. This transaction further contributes to Turkish Airlines’ mission of offering a modern and efficient travel experience to its guests, whilst expanding and enhancing its route network.
