Boeing has announced the appointment of Dana Deasy as the company’s new Chief Information Digital Officer and SVP – Information Technology & Data Analytics. Mr. Deasy will oversee all aspects of IT, information security, and data and analytics.
On Friday (January 3, 2024), Boeing announced the appointment of Dana Deasy as the company’s new Chief Information Digital Officer and SVP – Information Technology & Data Analytics effective December 31, 2024. In his new role, Mr. Deasy will oversee all aspects of information technology, information security, and data & analytics. He will report directly to Boeing’s President and CEO, Kelly Ortberg, and will also serve on the company’s Executive Council.
In Friday’s announcement, Boeing’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Kelly Ortberg, said,
“Dana is a well-respected, global technology leader who has a track record of delivering on innovative technologies across large and complex organizations. With the need to stay vigilant to protect against cyber threats, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence playing a larger role across all industries, our IT team will have a key role as we focus on meeting our safety and quality goals, delivering reliably for our customers and positioning ourselves for the future.”
Dana Deasy brings over 40 years of technology and leadership experience and a career that has spanned multiple industries, most recently serving as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the U.S. Department of Defense. Prior to that, he served as CIO at JPMorganChase, BP and General Motors. Mr. Deasy started his career in information management at Rockwell’s Space Systems Division. He succeeds Susan Doniz, who departed the company last year.
