Breeze Airways Launches 18 New Routes From Five New Cities

Breeze Airways has announced the launch of 18 new routes from five new cities including Newark (New Jersey), Daytona Beach (Florida), Erie (Pennsylvania), South Bend (Indiana) and Wilmington (North Carolina).

On Wednesday (August 7, 2024), Breeze Airways announced the launch of 18 new routes from five new cities including New York-Newark (EWR), Daytona Beach (DAB), Erie (ERI), South Bend (SBN), and Wilmington (ILM).  With the added routes, Breeze will now serve 64 cities across 30 states on over 200 nonstop routes.  Guests traveling with Breeze will enjoy an elevated travel experience onboard the carrier’s brand new Airbus A220-300s, which feature premium seating options, and high speed Wi-Fi.  Breeze offers both bundled and a la carte fare options, so customers can customize an experience to meet their needs.  Fare bundles include full flexibility, and other ancillaries such as bags seats and Wi-Fi.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Breeze Airways’ Founder and CEO, David Neeleman, said,


“With the addition of Newark, Breeze now serves four New York City area airports while continuing to expand our footprint across the U.S.  By connecting the dots between underserved city pairs, we are giving travelers more options than ever to fly affordably and comfortably to over 60 destinations across 30 states on more than 200 nonstop flights.”

Additionally, Breeze doesn’t charge cancellation fees up to 60 minutes before departure, and other benefits like free family seating, up to 24-months of reusable flight credit and customized flight features delivered via a simple customer-friendly app.


Founded in 2019 by serial airline entrepreneur David Neeleman, Salt Lake City-based Breeze Airways launched flight operations in May 2021.  The airline’s mission is ‘Nice people, flying nice people to nice places.’  Breeze operates a fleet of Embraer E190/195 jets and Airbus A220-300s, serving 64 cities in 30 states with over 200 nonstop seasonal and year-round routes.  The carrier currently has an additional 70 A220-300s on order, and will transition to an all A220 fleet by fall 2024.  Focused on providing efficient and affordable flights between secondary airports, Breeze offers seamless booking, no change or cancellation fees, and up to 24-months of reusable flight credit.  Additionally, the airline offers customizable flight features, including complimentary family seating.
