Breeze Airways Partners With Planitas for Enhanced Data Engineering

Breeze Airways has partnered with Planitas to provide enhanced data engineering to enable the carrier to make crucial product-related decisions. The partnership will help Breeze utilize enriched ancillary data to power the airline’s pricing decisions.

On Thursday (September 22, 2022), Breeze Airways, the new U.S. low-fare airline founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, announced a new partnership with Planitas, the airline analytics specialist, to provide the carrier with enhanced data engineering. Under the partnership, Planitas will provide data that will assist the carrier in making crucial decisions related to their product offering. The enriched ancillary data will help Breeze set fare prices by reacting to market forces in real time.


In Thursday’s announcement, Breeze Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, Lukas Johnson, said,


“The quality data provided by the Planitas ADAPTiv platform will help us in making fast and nimble pricing decisions. With this partnership, we’ll be able to react to market forces in real time.”


Also commenting on the new partnership, Planitas’ CEO, Simon Grennan, added,


“Planitas will use our ADAPTiv platform to manage and deliver enriched ancillary data. By leveraging this data, Planitas will power Breeze’s price decisioning that energizes its Seriously Nice™ flights.”


Dublin-based Planitas is a specialist provider of data analytics. The company offers data engineering solutions and data analytics software from its ADAPTiv platform for the airline and travel industry.

Based in Utah, Breeze Airways is the “Seriously Nice” new low-fare airline founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman. The airline began service in May 2021, offering point-to-point flights to and from smaller secondary airports, bypassing hubs for shorter and more convenient travel times.
