In celebration of their 25th anniversary at London City Airport today, British Airways is offering 25 percent off of select winter city break routes, including Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Nice.
On Tuesday (November 5, 2024), British Airways marked their 25th year of service at London City Airport. Celebrating this milestone, the carrier is offering 25 percent off of fares to select winter city break destinations, including Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Nice. Customers booking before November 11, 2024, and traveling before March 31, 2025, can book a holiday to Florence with from only £57 each way, while Amsterdam flights are bookable from £77 each way, and Berlin from only £64 each way.
In Tuesday’s announcement, BA Cityflyer’s CEO, Tom Stoddart, said,
“Not only is London City easily accessible from across the capital, but it’s a quick and seamless journey through the airport, from check-in to gate in 20 minutes. We’re proud to offer this experience to our customers, and reaching this quarter-century milestone is a testament to our team’s hard work in growing our operation over the years.”
Also commenting on the milestone silver anniversary, London City Airport’s CEO, Alison Fitzgerald, added,
“We are delighted to celebrate 25 years of our special relationship with British Airways and its subsidiary BA Cityflyer, which represents a huge milestone in the history of London City Airport as our largest serving carrier. As London’s most centrally located airport offering an unrivalled customer experience, we are excited for our passengers to take advantage of this fantastic anniversary offer to fly to a range of exciting holiday destinations.”
BA Cityflyer started service at London City Airport in 2007, and has since served over 50 destinations across Europe. Frankfurt and Geneva has been some of the longest-serving routes, while Edinburgh has been the most popular destination, followed by Glasgow, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Currently, BA Cityflyer is London City’s largest carrier, offering nonstop service to 26 short-haul destinations, with Mykonos being the airline’s furthest destination.
