British Airways has completed the final phase of their lounge refresh at London Heathrow’s Terminal 5B. The reimagined lounge includes a new servery area, deli station, updated furniture, a quiet zone and more.
On Thursday (October 26, 2023), British Airways announced the completion of their Club Lounge refresh at London Heathrow’s (LHR) Terminal 5B. Some new features include a live food preparation area, and a redesigned deli area where customers can help themselves to a range of hot and cold dishes. The new deli station offers more choices than ever, including a range of breakfast treats, sandwiches, and light bites. Additionally, the refreshed lounge has been outfitted with bespoke new furniture, flooring, and soft furnishings, as well as a quiet zone for a little pre-flight relaxation.
In Thursday’s announcement, British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, Calum Laming, said,
“We know that the airport experience is an important part of the journey for our customers, especially our premium customers, and we’re always listening to their feedback. We want to ensure we offer something for everyone using our lounges, whether that’s providing an area for those who wish to relax, catch up on work or somewhere for our customers to enjoy our British Original-inspired dishes. We hope these changes go a long way in making a difference to our customers’ experience before their flight.”

The Terminal 5B lounge completion follows the opening of British Airways’ Whispering Angel bar earlier this summer, where customers can enjoy a chilled glass of the famous rosé before their flight. British Airways also recently refurbished their First and Club (Business) lounges at LHR Terminal 3. The T3 Club lounge now features a new bar and furniture, while First lounge guests will enjoy the exclusive Concorde Bar and dining area.
