Condor’s first of 18 New Airbus A330-900neos successfully completed its first test flight today, taking off at around 13:30 local time in Toulouse. The aircraft, registration D-ANRA, has been painted in the green ‘Island” scheme of the carrier’s new livery.
On Monday (November 28, 2022), Condor announced that their first of 18 Airbus A330-900neos on order has successfully competed its first test flight. The aircraft, registration D-ANRA, took off from Toulouse at approximately 13:30 local time. The new A330neo has been painted in the green ‘Island’ scheme of Condor’s new corporate identity and livery scheme. The test flight, which lasted several hours, took the aircraft over the Pyrenees and Atlantic coast, where all tests were successfully completed, before landing back in Toulouse.
Condor’s first new Airbus A330-900neo will be deployed later this year on long-haul routes to Mauritius and the Maldives, among other destinations. The delivery will be followed by a refresh of Condor’s entire short and medium-haul fleet from 2024. With the fuel-efficient twin-engine A330-900neo on long-haul routes, and the state-of-the-art A32Xneo Family aircraft on short and medium-haul routes, Condor’s fleet will feature the latest technologies, maximum efficiency and the highest level of guest comfort. Once fleet optimization has been completed, Condor will operate one of the greenest fleets in Europe.
