On Wednesday (September 22, 2021), Condor announced the launch of five weekly flights between Frankfurt and New York-JFK from November 11, 2021. Flights will be offered on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and the route will be operated with a Boeing 767. Tickets are now bookable from €299.99 per person and route. Condor also currently offers four weekly flights to Seattle, Washington, where guests can seamlessly connect with their partner Alaska Airlines to over 30 onward destinations including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Hawaii.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Condor’s CEO, Ralf Teckentrup, said,

“Following the announcement on uncomplicated entry into the U.S. for fully vaccinated EU citizens, demand for U.S. flights has more than doubled. We can clearly see: the pent-up demand among our guests to travel to North America is huge - and there is probably no US-destination more popular than New York. The city that never sleeps represents everything we had to live without for months. We are already looking forward to bringing families and friends back together and satisfying our customers’ wanderlust.

“With the flights to New York, we are expanding our portfolio and also enabling our guests to travel onward from there without any complications along the entire east coast to Florida, as well as inland to more than 40 destinations - in other words, almost unlimited possibilities for the land of opportunity.”

Neighboring Canada is also within reach for Condor guests, as the carrier launched nonstop service to Toronto and Halifax in early September. Customers will also enjoy seamless onward connections in Canada via the airline’s partner WestJet.

Founded in 1956, Condor is Germany’s favorite leisure airline, normally serving around 9.4 million guests annually to 90 destinations in Europe, Africa and America from eight German gateways. During the financial year 2018/2019, Condor Flugdienst recorded a net profit of €57 million on revenue of €1.7 billion. The German leisure carrier has a fleet of 50 aircraft which are meticulously maintained to the highest safety standards by their wholly-owned subsidiary Condor Technik with facilities in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.
