Compared to last winter, Delta Air Lines is boosting capacity from Miami by 27 percent this year. The carrier is adding more flights to Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York (JFK & LGA) and Orlando.
On Monday (December 11, 2023), Delta Air Lines announced that compared to last winter, this year they are boosting capacity from Miami (MIA) by 27 percent, as they push to become South Florida’s airline of choice. This winter, the carrier is adding more flights to Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), New York (JFK & LGA) and Orlando (MCO). In total, Delta is building their MIA network to 37 peak day departures to 12 destinations, including a new route to Washington D.C. (DCA) announced last month.
In Monday’s announcement, Delta Air Lines’ Managing Director – Latin America, Luciano Macagno, said,
“Delta is serious about its presence in Miami and across South Florida, and we’re demonstrating that through new partnerships and network enhancements, a best-in-class experience for customers at the airport, and heartfelt community involvement and investment in the community. We are eagerly awaiting what the next year holds.”
Additionally, through partnerships with Aeromexico, Air France/KLM, LATAM Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, Delta customers can enjoy seamless connectivity from Miami to 13 more cities worldwide.
