Delta Air Lines will open a new Delta Sky Club at Kansas City International Airport in Missouri on Tuesday February 28, 2022, the only carrier lounge in the newly transformed airport.
On Friday (February 24, 2023), Delta Air Lines announced that they will open a new Delta Sky Lounge at Kansas City International Airport (MCI) in Missouri on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Delta will become the only carrier to operate a lounge at the newly transformed airport, after a $1.5 billion overhaul consolidated all airport operations into a 39-gate state-of-the-art terminal. The new Kansas City Delta Sky Club follows the reopening of Delta’s Chicago O’Hare (ORD) Club in October 2022. The carrier will also open a new Delta Sky Club at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) in April 2023, and for the remainder of 2023, the carrier will open or expand a total of eight Delta Sky Club locations.
In Friday’s announcement, Delta Sky Club’s Managing Director, Claude Roussel, said,
“The Delta Sky Club team is thrilled to welcome customers in Kansas City – our first new market in several years. We are proud to be a part of the new MCI, elevating this remarkable transformation with our signature lounge experience.”
The new 11,200 square-foot Delta Aky Club at MCI can accommodate nearly 200 guests, and offers seating options for travelers to work, socialize or simply relax. The Kansas City lounge also features two all-weather Sky Decks with perfect views of the airfield. Visitors can enjoy a premium bar and a full buffet, along with a curated art program featuring regional artists, and bathrooms stocked with premium Grown Alchemist products. Kansas City is a growing market for Delta, and the carrier offers daily service to all nine of their hubs from the airport.
