Delta will resume daily seasonal service between Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and New York-JFK, which will operate from December 2024 through March 2025. The carrier will also offer daily service between Rio de Janeiro and Atlanta, which currently operates three times weekly.
On Monday (December 16, 2024), Delta Air Lines announced the restart of daily seasonal service between Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (GIG) and New York (JFK). The route will operate from December 20, 2024, through March 28, 2025, complementing the carrier’s existing three weekly flights between Rio de Janeiro and Atlanta, which will also increase to daily. The GIG-JFK route will operate with a 215-passenger Boeing 767-300ER, featuring 25 spacious Delta One seats, 18 wider Delta Premium Select seats, 21 Delta Comfort+, and 151 ergonomic Main Cabin seats.
Inbound Delta One customers to New York-JFK can also enjoy the airport’s sophisticated Delta One Lounge. Opened last June, the 39,000 square-foot space offers premium travelers a variety of experiences and amenities, from gourmet dining to spa-like wellness treatments, valet service and more.
