On Tuesday (June 25, 2024), Delta Air Lines announced that they are ready to welcome guests to their new, more than 39,000 square-foot, Delta One Lounge at New York-JFK.  The first-of-its-kind lounge is located between Concourses A and B in Terminal 4, next to the main security checkpoint, and is larger than any Delta Sky Club.  Guests will enjoy a variety of premium experiences and amenities, such as fine dining, spa-like wellness treatments, valet services and more.  Customers wishing to take care of business can also do so in one of eight individual soundproof booths locate in the lounge.  Delta One ticketholders can curate their own unique lounge experience, based on what their travel day encompasses.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Delta Air Lines’ Vice President – Delta Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience, Claude Roussel, said,

“Our teams have spared no detail to ensure Delta One Lounge guests receive a truly memorable experience.  It’s a new era for Delta – this Lounge is raising the bar across the board, from the amenities to the food and beverage offerings to the level of personalized service.  We want our guests to feel the difference here; moreover, we want them to feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step through the door.”

The new Delta One Lounge atmosphere captures the magic of Manhattan, with nods to other locations throughout the Big Apple and thoughtfully curated surprises for New Yorkers and design enthusiasts alike.  The premium bar serves elevated takes on classic cocktails and features an Art Deco-inspired lighting fixture, and a Bar Lounge ceiling that pays tribute to the gold leaf ceiling and chandeliers of Radio City Music Hall.

Visitors can get a glimpse into the city’s past at the white marble counter Market and Bakery, inspired by retro delicatessen counters, as well as the fan-shaped marble mosaic tiles in the Market dining areas, a tribute to famed New York brasseries.  The penny-round ceiling over the food counter serves as a nod to the original JFK terminal, designed by famed architect Eero Saarinen.  Inspiration for the suspended lighting fixture in the dining room was provided by the iconic overlapping cable strands of the Brooklyn Bridge.  Delta’s recently announced onboard partnership with Missoni is also reflected in the lounge, with bespoke design touches such as accent pillows, vases and coffee table books bearing the Italian fashion house’s signature zigzag design.

The lounge’s 140-seat Brasserie delivers a three-course meal service in collaboration with Restaurant Associates and Union Square Events, a Danny Meyer concept.  Featured dishes include Hamachi crudo, steak tartare and lasagna Bolognese.  Delta One guests can also take charge of their own dining experience with the Market and Bakery, with seasonal culinary offerings plated for walk-up service.  Additionally, beverage cart service allows visitors to enjoy premium hospitality without leaving their seat.

Delta One guests can also prepare for their upcoming journey in the designated wellness area, which is equipped with nine reservable relaxation pods with full-body massage chairs and nap chairs, as well as treatments from Grown Alchemist certified therapists.  The Serenity Lounge, located adjacent to the wellness area, offers a quiet, tranquil space, and has been designed to offer guests pre-flight peace of mind.  Specialty lamp lighting mimics the light colors affecting the body’s circadian rhythms, helping guests get acclimated to their destination time zone.  Additionally, the Rejuvenation Bar features refreshing, non-alcoholic beverages, as well as fruit and herb-infused water and juices.

Arriving passengers can also freshen up at one of eight well-appointed shower suites, featuring towels, bathrobes and slippers, and Grown Alchemist products.  Customers wishing to refresh their clothes and shoes can also leave items inside the suite closet, which will then be steamed and/or shined and returned while they shower.

Visitors to Delta’s new Delta One Lounge at New York-JFK can also enjoy spectacular views of the airfield from the Terrace, a lush outdoor oasis, replete with regional, seasonally updated plants.  The Terrace also features a retractable roof, designed to stimulate the senses, while calming down the nervous system, allowing the space to be enjoyed 365 days per year.
