Eastern Air Holdings has today announced the appointment of Brian Randow as President and CEO. Mr. Randow succeeds Steve Harfst, who recently resigned. Additionally, Steve Kasteler has joined Eastern as EVP of Commercial.
On Thursday (April 20, 2023), Eastern Air Holdings, parent company of Eastern Airlines, announced the appointment of Brian Randow as President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Steve Harfst. Mr. Randow brings 30 years of executive operations experience to the airline, including roles such as Vice President of Operations, Chief Operating Officer, CEO and President at various regional and mainline carriers. He has previously held key management roles at Mesaba Airlines, Delta/Northwest Airlines, Compass Airline, Ameriflight, Trans States Airlines, iAero Airways and most recently at Airshare.
In Thursday’s announcement, Eastern Air Holdings, Inc.’s Chairman, Ken Wooley, said,
“We are extremely excited that Brian is joining our leadership team.”
Additionally, Eastern has announced the appointment of 40-year aviation industry veteran Steve Kasteler as the airline’s new EVP of commercial. Both Brian Randow and Steve Kasteler previously worked together at iAero. Mr. Kasteler’s experience includes time with Swift Air and iAero, with a focus on narrowbody charter flying of Boeing 737 passenger and freighter aircraft.
Privately held Eastern Air Holding’s, Inc. is the parent company of three subsidiaries, including Eastern Airlines LLC, Alta Aero Technic LLC, and Foxtrot Aero LLC. Eastern Airlines is a U.S. Part 121 Air Carrier operating scheduled and non-scheduled international and domestic air transportation with a fleet of Boeing 767s and 777s. Alta Aero Technic is a Part 145 repair station based in Kansas City, Missouri, which offers a variety of Boeing and Airbus MRO services.
