On Thursday (April 3, 2025), easyJet announced the launch of their inaugural flight between London Luton and Tbilisi, Georgia.  The flight departed London at 12:25 and touched down in the Georgian capital at approximately 20:25 local time.  For the summer 2025 season, the route will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  The carrier also launched service to Tbilisi from Geneva and Milan Malpensa earlier this year.  Tbilisi offers an affordable city break and a rich blend of history, diverse architecture and culture.  Visitors can enjoy the city’s picturesque Old Town streets, historic sulfur baths, a vibrant arts scene, traditional Georgian cuisine and award-winning wines.

In Thursday’s announcement, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, Ali Gayward, said,

“We are really pleased to be celebrating this exciting new route in easyJet’s network and to be providing unique direct connectivity between the UK and Tbilisi in Georgia this summer.  It will provide even more choice for our customers flying from London Luton who choose us for our unrivalled network which we continue to strengthen, our crew and their fantastic service, and of course our great value fares.”

To support growth at London Luton, easyJet recently based an additional Airbus A320 at their Luton base, increasing the based fleet to 25 aircraft.  More than seven million passengers travel with easyJet from London Luton annually, connecting to major cities such as Paris or Amsterdam, as well as popular holiday destinations in Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Turkey and Egypt.
