easyJet has today announced the launch of 26 new routes for summer 2025, including 21 from the UK, and the carrier’s first-ever Sub-Saharan Africa service to Cape Verde.
On Tuesday (November 19, 2024), easyJet announced that for summer 2025 they will introduce 26 new routes, including 21 from 10 UK airports, as well as first-ever Sub-Saharan Africa service to the island of Sal in Cape Verde from London Gatwick. easyJet’s inaugural flight to Cape Verde will take to the skies on March 31, 2025, and will then operate three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout the summer season. The carrier’s European short-haul network now offers over 1,000 routes to over 160 airports across 37 countries.
In Tuesday’s announcement, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, Ali Gayward, said,
“We’re proud to be releasing such an incredible range of new routes and package holidays today, providing more choice for customers to visit more of the places they love across Europe and to experience some incredible new destinations. This includes a milestone route for easyJet to beautiful Cape Verde, our first ever sub-Saharan service.
“Our continued growth and investment in the UK and the connectivity we offer our customers highlights the importance of the market for us, where this year we operated more flying than ever before.
“So, with 21 new services now available from ten airports across the UK, our flights and holidays are available to even more new destinations next summer, providing customers with even more fantastic choice and great value.”
easyJet will also launch new service to Rimini in Italy, and will also grow their London Luton network with routes to the Andalusian capital Almeria in Spain and Funchal in Madeira. Additionally, five new routes are now on sale from Manchester to Izmir, Kalamata, Larnaca, Madrid and Rome. easyJet’s newest UK base at Manchester Airport also continues to grow with the addition of new service to Gran Canaria and Malta. The carrier will also serve Leeds Bradford Airport with two new Spanish routes to Malaga and Palma.
Customers in Scotland will also have more options next summer with new service from Edinburgh to the North African destinations of Enfidha in Tunisia and Marrakech, as well as to Olbia and the popular Italian Island of Sardinia. Two new routes from Glasgow will also be added, including service to Antalya in Turkey and Reus in Spain. A route to Reus will also be served twice weekly from Belfast International Airport. easyJet operates to/from 21 UK airports, offering service on 584 routes to 136 destinations to Europe and beyond.
