On Wednesday (December 11, 2024), easyJet announced the launch of six new routes from four UK airports for summer 2025.  The carrier will launch new service to Milan Linate from both Manchester and Edinburgh, as well as from Birmingham to Gibraltar and Bordeaux.  Additionally, easyJet will base another Airbus A320 Family aircraft in Bristol, supporting new service to Palermo in Italy and Almeria in Spain.  Seats on the new routes are now bookable with one-way fares from £23.99 (T&Cs apply).

In Wednesday’s announcement, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, Ali Gayward, said,

“Following another consecutive record summer, easyJet is continuing to grow in the UK next year with more aircraft, enabling us to offer an even greater choice of flights and package holidays for our customers across the country.  Our investment in two new bases Italy will also benefit our customers in the UK, providing great value and convenient connectivity to major European cities, whether they’re travelling for leisure or business, and we look forward to welcoming them on board.”

The new Milan Linate routes have been enabled by the opening of a five aircraft base at the airport next spring.  This follows the European Commission’s approval for easyJet to be the short-haul ‘remedy’ taker of slots at Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino, as part of the transaction between ITA Airways and the Lufthansa Group.  The carrier will also open a three aircraft base at Rome Fiumicino from March 30, 2025.
