On Tuesday (September 17, 2024), Emirates announced that along with the Museum of the Future they will host the first-ever Aviation Future Week. The event will be held in Dubai this October 15th through 17th and will focus on cutting-edge aviation technologies, operational synergies across cargo, logistics and MRO, building the workforce of the future, and sustainability. For the inaugural event, UAE ministers, senior government officials, and industry leaders across aviation and aerospace, airfreight, and the MRO and logistics ecosystem will converge in Dubai.
In Tuesday’s event announcement, Emirates Airline and Group’s Chairman and CEO, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Maktoum, said,
“It is fitting that Dubai is setting the stage for visionary global leaders and decision makers in aviation and aerospace to gather for key discussions and powerful collaborations to help redefine what the future could look like for the industry at Aviation Future Week. Dubai’s strategic commitment to leveraging technology and innovation and embracing the digital revolution is fertile ground to pioneer new approaches and push the boundaries of what is possible for more efficient and sustainable operations, and reshaping the passenger journey and experience as the industry forges ahead.”
Over the event’s three days, Aviation Future Week will include key note speeches, panels and workshops. Day one includes a packed program led by industry experts who will address air travel demand, airport infrastructure, and the use of technology to enhance the passenger experience across airports, airlines, aerospace manufacturers and other stakeholders. The first half of the second day will be dedicated to airfreight and logistics, while the second half of the day will focus on MRO development in the region.
The third and final day of Aviation Future Week will explore the boundary-breaking potential of emerging technologies such as Web3, AI and XR solutions to drive workflow efficiencies and service delivery. Breakout sessions will also explore strategies to rethink existing processes through AI, and the necessary collaborations to upskill today’s aviation workforce.
Complementing the main program agenda, Aviation Future Week will also feature a rich exhibition platform showcasing the latest in aviation technologies and innovations. Visitors will be able to learn about new products and concepts, while networking with industry professionals. Additionally, a series of interactive workshops will be spearheaded by Emirates and Museum of the Future, with support from Emirates CX teams, dnata, Emirates SkyCargo, Flight Operations, Emirates and dnata environment teams, Boeing and the Emirates Group Youth Council.
