Emirates has today announced the official opening of their largest lounge outside of Dubai at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, Satellite 1 Terminal (SAT-1). Following a $5 million refurbishment, the lounge has been expanded to 1,454 square meters.
On Friday (January 31, 2025), Emirates announced the official reopening of their refurbished and expanded lounge at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Located in Satellite 1 Terminal (SAT-1), the refreshed lounge is now the carrier’s largest outside of Dubai. With the $5 million refurbishment, the lounge now occupies an expansive 1,454 square meters, and can accommodate up to 250 guests. Emirates’ First and Business Class customers, as well as Skywards members can enjoy pre-flight rest and relaxation with upscale furnishings, elegant dining options and a peaceful ambiance.
Emirates’ new Bangkok lounge offers a range of amenities, including shower spas, complimentary Wi-Fi, wireless charging, and a rich food and beverage selection featuring local and international dishes, as well as classic Thai desserts. Located on the fourth floor of SAT-1, the Emirates lounge is just a five minute walk to the boarding gates.
Currently, Emirates operates 41 airport lounges worldwide, including seven at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Eligible customers can also enjoy access to partner lounges at select destinations. In 2025, Emirates will celebrate 35 years of service to Thailand, and now operates five daily flights between Dubai and Bangkok, using a mix of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, as well as double daily service to Phuket and a daily direct flight between Bangkok and Hong Kong.

Additionally, Emirates’ First and Business Class customers can enjoy door-to-door complimentary Chauffeur-drive service covering a 60 km radius from Suvarnabhumi Airport, along with exclusive check-in counters. Customers beyond the 60 km radius will be subject to an excess mileage charge of THB 35 per kilometer. Guests traveling onboard Emirates’ flagship Airbus A380 will enjoy the signature Onboard Lounge, private First Class suites and the luxurious Shower Spa.
