On Wednesday (November 6, 2024), Emirates announced the launch of a new collaboration with Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming service.  Spotify can now be enjoyed by all customers traveling onboard flights to 140 destinations via the carrier’s award-winning inflight entertainment seatback system, ice.  The curated Spotify content includes a range of popular music playlists, as well as top podcasts in English, Portuguese, Tagalog and German, with more languages such as Spanish and Hindi to be added in 2025.  Additionally, new podcasts and music will be added on a regular basis, complementing Emirates’ existing library of over 3,500 hours of music, though-provoking conversations, and more.

Customers traveling with Emirates can now explore Spotify’s diverse podcast library with over 140 episodes of business, sports, entertainment and true crime.  To ensure a personalized travel experience, there’s also a playlist for fans of every music genre and era.  Spotify’s most popular playlists are presented in the form of mixtapes, carefully curated by their editorial experts.

Spotify is just the latest addition to ice, which features over 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment in more than 40 languages. While traveling with Emirates, customers can access over 4,000 hours of movies and TV channels, up to 3,500 hours of music and podcasts, and more than 2,000 Hollywood and internationally acclaimed movies.  Emirates’ ice IFE system also features 250 dedicated kids and family channels and hundreds of TV series and complete box sets.
