Emirates Reopens Refurbished Düsseldorf Lounge

Following a seven week renovation, Emirates’ Düsseldorf lounge has reopened. The 700 square meter space can accommodate 115 guests, and is the largest lounge at the airport, and one of the largest Emirates lounges in continental Europe.

On Tuesday (December 19, 2023), Emirates announced that their Düsseldorf Airport lounge has reopened after a seven week renovation.  The 700 square meter space can accommodate up to 115 visitors, and welcomes Emirates’ guests with new cream-colored leather seats, along with new furniture, carpets, lighting and kitchen equipment.  Emirates’ refurbished lounge is the single largest airline lounge at the airport, and on of the airline’s largest lounges in continental Europe.  Over the past five months, Emirates has also modernized their lounges in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. 


In Tuesday’s announcement, Emirates’ Vice President – North and Central Europe, Volker Greiner, said,


“We are constantly looking for ways to further enhance the travel experience for our valued customers both in the air and on ground, Emirates’ exclusive airport lounges are an integral part of our 'Fly better' brand promise.  The investment in the refurbishment of all lounges demonstrates our commitment to our passengers and to our airport partners in Germany.”

Emirates Düsseldorf lounge opens three hours prior to the departure of flights EK56 and EK58 to Dubai, operated by either an Airbus A380 or Boeing 777-300ER.  Guests can enjoy a wide selection of hot and cold dishes that change monthly, which are created by the renowned caterer DO & CO, along with complimentary bar service, and private shower rooms.  Lounge access is available to all Emirates First and Business Class passengers, as well as Skywards members with Platinum or Gold status traveling in Economy.  Access is also available to other travelers for a fee.
