Emirates has today revealed a new Real Madrid Livery on a Boeing 777 ahead of the Spanish Super Cup Tournament. Separately, the carrier announced that they are set to become the world’s first Autism Certified Airline™.
On Wednesday (January 8, 2025), Emirates unveiled a new special Real Madrid Livery on a Boeing 777. The aircraft touched down in Madrid on Tuesday (January 7th), flying the club’s first team to Jeddah ahead of the Spanish Super Cup tournament, which takes place from January 8th through 12th. The striking livery decal features some of the club’s top players, including Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham, Lucas Vazquez and Federico Valverde. Emirates has been a proud partner of Real Madrid since 2011, becoming the club’s official jersey sponsor in 2013. The carrier will remain the Official Main Sponsor of Real Madrid until 2026.
Real Madrid fans and planespotters can catch a glimpse of the aircraft as it soars through the skies to destinations such as Athens, Vienna, Miami, Seattle and Kuwait, amongst others. Emirates first launched service to Madrid in 2010, and currently offers double daily service to the city with a mix of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s. As part of their multi-billion dollar cabin retrofit program, Emirates has rolled out 40 fully refreshed aircraft, including 27 flagship Airbus A380s and 13 Boeing 777s. The carrier also recently welcomed their first A350, which today serves Edinburgh, Kuwait and Bahrain.

In a separate press release on Wednesday (January 8, 2025), Emirates announced that they are set to become the world’s first Autism Certified Airline™. The inaugural designation will be formally awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) in the coming months, following initial training by over 30,000 Emirates cabin crew and ground staff. Emirates will also rollout new standards and services to improve the on ground and inflight travel experience for both guests on the autism spectrum as well as their families and companions.
To achieve the Autism Certified Airline™ (ACA) designation, Emirates worked collaboratively with IBCCES, a leading organization in autism and neurodiversity and certification, to conduct an onsite review and comprehensive audit. As part of their research, IBCCES surveyed over 14,000 people with a variety of disabilities, including people with autism, and those with sensory sensitivities, as well as their families and caregivers. The survey data was then collated alongside numerous interviews, an IATA industry survey, and feedback from 1,200 industry professionals, in order to develop the most beneficial standards for both passengers and airline team members. IBCCES experts also conducted several Emirates flight audits across short and long-haul routes.
