Starting June 16, 2025, Ethiopian Airlines will launch new service between Addis Ababa and Hyderabad in India. The route will operate three times weekly departures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

On Monday (February 10, 2025), Ethiopian Airlines announced the launch of new service between Addis Ababa (ADD) and Hyderabad (HYD) in India, with three weekly frequencies. Flight ET682 will depart Addis Ababa on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the return flight, ET683, will depart Hyderabad on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Ethiopian Airlines currently offers over 50 weekly passenger and cargo flights to five cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Chennai.
In Monday’s announcement, Ethiopian Airlines Group’s CEO, Mesfin Tasew, said,
“We are delighted to commence a new passenger service to Hyderabad. Since our first flight to Mumbai, India, in 1971, we have expanded our footprint throughout the country, offering convenient passenger and cargo transportation services. This new service will not only enhance travel options for our esteemed passengers but also strengthen trade and tourism ties between the two countries and beyond. Additionally, it is also a testament to Ethiopian's commitment to enhancing its position as the continent's top carrier with wide connectivity and world-class service.”
