Ethiopian Airlines Expands Charter Service With the Addition of a New Boeing 737-800 Business Jet

Ethiopian Airlines has expanded their charter fleet with the addition of a new Boeing  737-800 Business Jet, dedicated exclusively to VIP and smaller group charter flights.

On Monday (March 17, 2025), Ethiopian Airlines announced an expansion of their charter fleet with the addition of a new Boeing 737-800 Business Jet.  The new aircraft will be dedicated exclusively to VIP customers and smaller charter groups, reaffirming the carrier’s commitment to serving Africa’s investors, business communities, and travelers seeking a premium charter experience.  The new aircraft features a luxurious, spacious cabin, with a customized seating with 19 for commercial operation and 32 for private operation, ensuring an exclusive and intimate atmosphere. 


In Monday’s announcement. Ethiopian Airlines Group’s CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, said,

Passengers traveling on Ethiopian’s new Boeing 737-800 Business Jet will also enjoy state-of-the-art amenities, including an advanced IFE system displaying on up to 42” monitors, Wi-Fi connectivity, and premium onboard dining, which will be tailored to their preferences.  With its extended range and efficiency, the 737-800 VIP guarantees a seamless journey for both short and medium-haul charter operations.  Customers will also benefit from personalized flight schedules, access to private terminals, and world-class onboard service.
