Ethiopian Airlines has resumed flights between Addis Ababa and Liberia, the capital of Monrovia. The inaugural flight was celebrated by a special event in Monrovia, which was attended by the President of Liberia, Ethiopian Airlines’ executives and other dignitaries.
On Saturday (November 30, 2024), Ethiopian Airlines announced the restart of flights between Addis Ababa and Monrovia, Liberia. Upon arrival in Monrovia, Saturday's inaugural flight was celebrated by a special event attended by the President of Liberia, Ministers, Ambassadors, high-ranking officials, and Ethiopian Airlines executives. The resumed route aims to facilitate trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Ethiopia and Liberia. Monrovia flights will now operate three times weekly, providing seamless access to Liberia’s rich cultural and natural attractions.
In Saturday’s announcement, Ethiopian Airlines Group’s CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, said,
“We are pleased to resume our flights to Monrovia, reinforcing our dedication to connecting Africa and promoting intra-African trade. In line with our vision of providing the best travel experience, we believe that our presence in Liberia will enhance opportunities for business and tourism, thus driving mutual growth. This resumption of services represents the strengthening of ties and the bridging of cultures between our two great nations.”
