Eurowings officially opened their new Stockholm/Arlanda base on Sunday, March 27, 2022, with the first flight departing for Barcelona shortly after 14:00 local time. Stockholm is the carrier’s eleventh base in Europe, and fifth base outside of Germany.
On Monday (March 28, 2022), Eurowings announced the grand opening of their new Stockholm/Arlanda base, with the first flight departing on Sunday (March 27th) for Barcelona. Stockholm is the carrier’s 11th European base, and fifth base outside of Germany following Palma de Mallorca, Prague, Pristina and Salzburg. For the first time, Eurowings’ guests will enjoy direct flights from Sweden to exciting cities like Barcelona and Hamburg, as well as to sunny hotspots such as Mallorca. The new base will provide more connectivity for Sweden, while creating hundreds of new direct and indirect jobs.
In today’s announcment, Eurowings’ CEO, Jens Bischof, said,

Some of Eurowings’ new routes from Stockholm Arlanda include Palma de Mallorca, Alicante and Malaga (Spain), Birmingham, Nice, Hamburg and Düsseldorf, the Greek Islands of Heraklion, Rhodes and Mykonos, as well as Larnaca in Cyprus. The carrier plans on adding more destinations for summer 2022. One-way tickets on the new Stockholm routes are available from SEK 299 (€29.99).
