On Monday (October 21, 2024), Finnair announced that they will increase frequencies to select U.S. and Asian destinations for summer 2025.  The carrier will serve Chicago with up to daily flights, while service to Dallas will increase to up to 11 weekly flights, five more than in summer 2024.  Seattle and Los Angeles will also receive two additional weekly frequencies next summer.  Finnair will also increase service to Japan with daily service to Osaka, and four weekly flights to Nagoya. Additionally, the carrier will increase service to Shanghai in China from three to four weekly flights.

In Monday’s announcement, Finnair’s Chief Revenue Officer, Christine Rovelli, said,

“Increasing our capacity to the United States brings our customers excellent connectivity to North America and beyond.  Customers can connect via Dallas and Chicago to our partner American Airlines’ extensive network in North and South America, while Seattle and Los Angeles offer a gateway to for example other parts of the West Coast and Hawaii, through our partners American Airlines and Alaska Airlines.”

Specializing in passenger and cargo traffic between Asia, North America and Europe, Finnair is a modern premium network airline with a competitive advantage due to their geographical location.  Sustainability is at the heart of everything Finnair does, and the carrier is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by the end of 2045.   In 2023, Finnair celebrated their 100th anniversary, making the carrier one of the oldest airlines in the world.  Finnair is a member of the global oneworld® alliance and the company’s shares are traded on the Nasdaq Helsinki stock exchange.
