Flair has also named Kent Breedlove as the airline’s General Counsel. Nelson Phillips joins Flair following 14 years at Monster Energy Canada, Ltd., where he led brand and marketing strategy, taking the brand from startup to a leader in the energy drinks space. During his tenure at Monster, Phillips spearheaded partnerships with top athletes and leading brands including the Montreal Grand Prix, Calgary Stampede, Live Nation and the UFC.

In Thursday’s announcment, Flair’s new VP – Marketing & Communications, Nelson Phillips, said,

“Driving growth is my goal. I create and maintain awareness, engagement, and conversion. The world is changing, and the norm is no longer acceptable. I’m a consumer champion. After all, consumers make the world go around.”

Kristal Jodoin’s appointment to Vice President – Airport Operations is a promotion from within Flair’s team. Ms. Jodoin joined Flair in 2018 as Manager – Training and Standards, Airport Operations and Customer Services, after a 10 year career in operations at Canadian North. In January 2020, she was promoted to Director of Airports.

Commenting on her new role as Flair’s VP – Airport Operations, Kristal Jodoin said,

“Being a part of Flair’s team since its breakout as Canada’s leading low-fare airline has been a journey full of challenges, changing environments, growth, and many successes. I am dedicated to leading a team that efficiently delivers operational excellence and a positive passenger experience at the airport. This opportunity to play such a key role in Flair’s growth and bringing affordable travel to Canadians is one that I am extremely passionate about.”

Finally, Flair has also announced the appointment of Kent Breedlove to the role of General Counsel. Mr. Breedlove is a seasoned lawyer with over 15 years of experience and he will be responsible for the company’s legal and government affairs. Breedlove will also be a member of Flair’s executive management team. He previously served as Vice President – Legal for Enerflex Ltd., where he was responsible for managing the company’s legal affairs, international legal team and working with senior executives on corporate development. Additionally, he developed and led the company’s anti-corruption program, managed complex litigation and was a member of Enerflex’s risk committee. Prior to joining Enerflex, Mr. Breedlove was an associate at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, a leading Canadian corporate law firm.
