Flair Airlines has launched Canada’s first On-Time Guarantee (OTG), which means if a flight is 60 minutes late, or canceled within 72 hours of departure, customers will receive a $60 travel voucher.
On Wednesday (November 13, 2024), Flair Airlines announced the launch of Canada’s first on-time guarantee (OTG), promising customers punctuality, or paying up. Under the OTG initiative, if a customer’s flight is more than 60 minutes late or canceled within 72 hours of departure, Flair will issue a $60 travel voucher (T&Cs apply). With the new OTG program, Flair hopes to push the industry forward, offering guests peace of mind and setting a new standard for reliability and accountability in Canadian air travel.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Flair Airlines’ Interim CEO, Maciej Wilk, said,
“Our commitment to passengers has never been stronger. With the OTG, we’re raising the bar in Canadian aviation. The guarantee is simple: if we don’t get you there on time, we’ll compensate you. No other airline in Canada offers this level of accountability. We’re confident in our operations, and we’re putting it all on the line for our passengers.”
Also commenting on the carrier’s new OTG offer, Flair’s VP – Ancillary & Digital Innovation, Juliana Ramirez, added,
“The OTG is our pledge to deliver the service passengers deserve. We are determined to earn our customers’ trust.”
Flair Airlines is Canada’s only independent ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) and the company’s mission is to make travel accessible and affordable for all Canadians. The airline operates a growing fleet of Next Generation Boeing 737-800s and 737-8s, and is growing to serve over 35 destinations across Canada, the U.S., Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. The airline plans on growing their fleet to 50 aircraft by 2025.
